The previous few days we have been rewarded by fabulous landscapes in soft sunshiny weather. We crossed endless fields, woods, rivers, ... We finally saw the possibility to camp (although I have to admit the first night was with three layers and us both shivering in the sleeping bag).
The climbs are slowly becoming a little more steep, our legs need rest. Therefore we visit beautiful Heidelberg.
We continue to meet new, fascinating people with Warmshowers
- a young powerful girl who tells us about her 170km cycling a day and beautiful hikes in Sweden with a history-loving mother who cooks the best pasta pesto ever with regional krauten and takes us to the Unesco-heritage of her city
- an anesthesiologist who does ultra-cycling on high level and at the same time is a wonderful inspiring vegan cook
- two elderly only-German speaking but very wise, experienced people who give us a crash course German and all the lovely food (not to forget Spetzle!) you can imagine
(I donāt know how they do it but Warmshowers hosts understand as no one else the big hunger cycling people experience)
Yet so many memories after 10 days!
It explains the silence on our Facebook, Instagram and Wix page; we are a little bit sorry for that!
However, today we made a photocorner with an update of pictures, if youāre interested please check out: https://bikingwithoutborders.wixsite.com/cycling4education/photocorner
Meanwhile, we received the news that our Italian IIMC friends in Trieste want to receive us to talk about our project Cycling for education. Thatās wonderful news, so we hope we receive some donations for the project - it would be great to feel supported from home!
